Paternity leave (aka “your partner gives birth”)
- For: Any employee whose partner is having a baby.
- Duration: Up to 4 weeks of paid leave, plus up to 4 weeks of unpaid extended leave.
- Conditions: Leave can be taken at any time from 1 month prior to birth to 12 months after birth.
Maternity leave
- For: Any employee who gives birth.
- Duration: Up to 16 weeks of paid leave, plus up to 4 weeks of unpaid extended leave.
- Conditions: Leave can be taken any time from 1 month prior to birth to 12 months after birth.
Adoption leave
For employees adopting a child: we’ll handle this case-by-case. Speak with HR please and we’ll work out something reasonable, also considering the age of the child.
Childcare leave
- For: Any employee whose youngest child is below 7 years old
- What is it?: Childcare leave can be used for any reason, such as taking your child to school on their first day or tending to them if you cannot arrange childcare.
- Conditions: Up to 6 days per year.
Extended childcare leave
- For: Any employee whose youngest child is between 7–12 years old (inclusive)
- What is it? See above.
- Conditions: Up to 2 days per year.
